Our Values
We believe in giving children the joyful experience of exploring music and singing!
Healthy Singing
Our focus is healthy, beautiful singing! We believe that children should not sound like adults. They will learn age-appropriate technique and be encouraged to develop the beautiful sound of their own instrument using appropriate repertoire.

Music Literacy
The ability to read and write music is essential to comprehensive musicianship. We use the highly esteemed Kodály Method to teach children the rhythmic (note values), melodic (solfege: do re mi...), and general music concepts that form the foundation of music literacy.

Performance
Students work toward a culminating recital, presenting their hard work for an audience. They learn to introduce themselves and accept applause. Performing builds confidence, self-esteem, and poise under pressure. Along the way, students learn to be a respectful audience member and give constructive feedback.

Kodály-Inspired
The Kodály (Koh-dah-ee) Method is a well-respected approach to music education known for its emphasis on literacy using singing-based instruction. Above all, the Kodály Method insists that music making must be joyful for the student! Paige holds a Kodály Certification through the CSUB Kodály Institute.
